Transfer of Credits toward the MSAS degree may only occur with the permission of the Director of the Applied Statistics Graduate Program. Only students who have been accepted with matriculated status may transfer a maximum of 6 credits from other graduate programs toward their MSAS degree. Furthermore, these courses must correspond to existing courses in the Applied Statistics curriculum and must have been taken within the six year time frame allotted for the degree. The request for transfer must be presented at the time of admission to the program as a matriculated student. This request should be in the form of a letter, written by the student and addressed to the Director of the Applied Statistics Graduate Program. It should identify the courses to be transferred, including detailed course descriptions and the courses in the MSAS program to which they correspond. A minimum grade of B in each course is required for such a transfer. To transfer courses equivalent to MAT 8400 and MAT 8401, the student must also pass an examination in each course.
