The Summer Business Institute
curriculum is comprised of cross-disciplinary modules. You will learn about the
basics of business through a broad range of integrated courses and cross-disciplinary topics—like
Business Dynamics, Competitive Effectiveness, and Financial Management and
Reporting—that will help prepare you to succeed after graduation.
Through a curriculum that emphasizes innovation, creativity, and hands-on
learning—including corporate site visits—you will gain a solid understanding of
the big picture of business.

Dynamic nature of business in a changing environment explored. Cross functional approach to
understanding business operations. Emphasis on purpose of business; how business vision is
actualized. Action learning, problem solving approach utilized.

Introduction to macroeconomics and microeconomics and the application of specific business
decisions.

Core concepts of business law, ethical decision making, corporate social responsibility and
