Bachelor of Arts in Human Services

The Bachelor of Arts in Human Services is an interdisciplinary program including courses in psychology, sociology, and human services. The program prepares students for careers within government and social service agencies.

The Human Services curriculum is practical as well as theoretical. For example, part of required coursework is a practicum with a social service agency in the community. The goal of this degree is to develop a student's expertise in:

  • basic communication skills
  • human resource development
  • social service business practices

This degree program is an excellent preparation for graduate level programs in Counseling and Human Relations.
